Title: mame very slow to start

I'm having an issue where MaLa takes >5s to start to start mame. Eventually, it gets there, it just takes a very long time. I have Mala calling CPWizard and then Mame. This problem only occurs for Mame, not for any of the other 10 emulators/layouts I have.

I've diagnosed that it has something to do with explorer. I have Mala as the shell, but if I open explorer and then Mala the problem goes away. Any idea what this could be? I'm stumped.

It seems that its CPWizard that is actually the culprit. I'm still not sure what the issue is.
