Title: TV question
Post by: dugg8 on January 03, 2011, 04:47:27 pm
Hello,

I'm thinking about using a TV for my next project, more than likely a Sony Wega 24'. Now this tv comes with an S-video input along with a component input (RGB). I've read through this forum quite a bit and most people say that S-video will not produce the best picture. Now considering most if not all video cards don't output with component, how do I go about using dvi/vga output to a component input?

Most non-Intel graphics cards do putput component, you just need a dongle that fits into the TV out jack.  A lot of cards don't include this in the box and you have to order them off the site.

There are card specific dongles.  Make sure your card supports one and get the right dongle if you are ordering it.
