Taken by my cousin-in-law.

Btw this marks the very first time a video game character has been featured in the parade.

Oh good God. I hope my fiance didn't delete the video.

Ironically, I just deleted it off my DVR yesterday. :banghead:

coin flip, sonic was in it in 1996 but I dont think he was "featured"; and sonic was also the first video game character to have a balloon in the Macy's thanksgiving day parade (pikachu's came after)

Meh. It's all advertising paid for by the companies (ie: Namco). Not so cool when seen in that context.

That looks like a sign *on* a float. Where's the rest of it?

I thought the design was a little too much like the characters on the pacman side art; kinda goofy looking. But cool there was some retro gaming honored!

Actually, although they never really had a good shot in the parade for me to confirm, the characters on the float were supposed to be modeled after the upcoming (and from the preview, sure to be god-awful) pacman saturday morning series. At least that was the plan according to the namco website as posted a few months ago.
The 30th anniv logo was actually the best thing on the float. ;)
