Title: Coin Return Modification to Coin 1/2
Post by: Savannan on January 01, 2011, 04:55:28 pm
Currently on my existing arcade cabinet which has 2 player control panel.  The COIN 1 & COIN 2 buttons are located where one would use the pinball flippers buttons at.  I like this design very much but on my new arcade cabinet that Im building Im thinking about doing something new with the 1 & 2 coin buttons.

You know how on a coin door if you press the coin return button and the change spits out ..but on my setup I would like it to simulate Coin 1 & Coin 2 buttons....somehow/someway mount a microswitch(leaf?) up to the coin return button.

Just wondering if anyone has done this or not or even if its possible...any faqs on it?

Thank you all

Sav

That's how I wired mine. My coin door works with quarters or I can press the coin return button to "add credits".

I did something similar, but I was able to do mine with a standard microswitch without the lever. I still have my coin slot switches wired to '5' and '6' on my minipac, but I tapped into the p2 wiring on one of mine and epoxied a cherry switch on the side of my coin mech. Pressing the reject button in actuates the switch. I wired it as 'normally open' and when the lever lowers on the coin reject, the switch closes, registering a credit.

I still have to go back and wire one for the P1 credits on '5' too, because some games in MAME don't register a credit on '6.'
