Sorry hulkster, wrap your 24" pythons on this! you need to change your creed to, " say your prayers, take your vitamins, and check the g'damn documentation (http://www.daphne-emu.com/wiki/index.php?page=mpeg)!"
heh... I just like saying that "say your prayers/vitamins" line...

When we talk about an 'mpeg' with DAPHNE, we are actually usually talking about three separate files:
A de-multiplexed mpeg video stream
An Ogg Vorbis audio stream
A Framefile
For those of you who want to play Dragon's Lair or Space Ace, you are in luck because you can buy the Dragon's Lair DVD-ROM or Space Ace DVD-ROM from Digital Leisure [1] and then use a conversion utility called DVD2Daph to make everything you need to start playing DAPHNE. We recommend this route for beginners who have never used DAPHNE before.
For those of you who want to play other games which cannot be purchased, your road is a bit more difficult. Due to legal reasons, we do not use this website as an aid for mpeg distribution. We do, however, provide instructions on how the very bold can create all 3 required files from scratch. See the DiscToMpeg section for these instructions.

If you have the PC DVD ROM version of DL, you will only need DVD2DAPHNE to convert to something that DAPHNE will understand.
If you have the Home DVD-PLAYER version of DL, you will need VID2DAPHNE to extract the video streams, and you will then also need DVD2DAPHNE to vonert those streams that you extracted to something DAPHNE will understand. This is what I used yesterday to convert DL video, and it worked like a charm.
