Hi all,
I’ve been putting together all the parts for my mame arcade.
Computer:
HP AMD Athlon II 635 Quad- core processor
6GB/DDR3 System memory
750GB Hard Drive
Running Genuine windows 7 Home premium 64-bit/ windows 7.
I bought a Konami cab originally a Simpsons cab but converted to Gi Joe at some point in its early life. It came with a Wells Gardner Model No. 25K7191 120V 60Hz 100W Max. monitor. Everything was working and doing well but I want to mame it. So with that said, I got the computer an arcadevga 3000, arcade monitor video amplifier and an I-PAC 4 Interface and all the hook ups to get it all going. Here is the problem I can’t get the arcadevga to work right on my system, hence scratching my head!
1st the picture is off on the monitor, the bottom of everything gets cut off and yes I did play around with all the settings on the monitor and in the computer it still cuts off the bottom no matter what I do.
2nd I keep getting some warnings on the computer
-Could not load file or assembly ‘MOM.Implementation, Version=2.0.3470.20910, Culture= neutral, PublicKey Token= 90ba9c70f846762e’ or one of its dependencies. The System cannot find the file specified.
-Could not load file or assembly ‘CLI.Implementation, Version=2.0.3470.20910, Culture= neutral, PublicKey Token= 90ba9c70f846762e’ or one of its dependencies. The System cannot find the file specified.
I did install the card it didn’t come with the install cd so I had to download it from Ultimark. I downloaded the ArcadeVGA 3000 Drivers (Standard) Windows Vista / Win7 64 Bit. I’m not that versed in computers so any help would be great I also fallowed all the install steps to the letter from the Ultimark instillation page for win7. Nothing seems to work! I’m having people over tonight and was hoping to have it up and running but I now know its a long shot!!!

You have alot going on and info on alot of things. The error messages seem to be related to ATI drivers as that is where I find them mentioned most often. I think if you can provide some pics of what exactly is going on we might get a better idea of just how your screen is being cut off. Any info re the error messages seems to call for a clean reinstall of the video driver and in one case required a complete system restore to start over again.
I got a headache trying to follow all the different sections of installation instructions on the ultimarc Win 7 pages for the avga so I cannot honestly say I can even guess where a driver install might have gone wrong. There was a tread about the AVGA and 64 bit W7 but I think it was for an earlier version of the card.
I would think your best bet in this case other than de installing and re installing the driver would be to outline your problems to Andy whenever he is around. Being the holidays it is hard to get a response from a specific person but he always pops in and out and will respond if he sees his product in the title of the thread. Scratching your head may not get his attention unless you send him a PM re the AVGA problem.

Try the ultimarc forum. If you don't get any help their e-mail Andy. He's great at getting back to people and I think he might be back from his annual vacation. If he's still gone, he gets back right after New years (for some reason, I think he's getting back early this year).
