Hi all!
Anyone has tried JAPANDEAL (www.arcadegames.se (http://www.arcadegames.se)) for CRT monitors or chassis? Any experiences to share?
I'm considering to order a chassis or maybe a CRT monitor and it would be good to be on the safe side, as they ask for money in advance.
Please share your experiences.
-
Also, is there a reliable source for CRT arcade monitors and chassis in the E.U?
Any input appreciated.
-
No reliable sources for CRT arcade monitors and chassis in Europe at all?
That is terrible news.... :-[

there are a couple of companies doing crt in u.k but they are all rodotron imports
japandeal is a finnish based company, the stuff they sell is chinese built-they seem to be o.k but i have never dealt with them
what exactly are you looking for,i deal with lots of cmpanies in the far east and can probably recommend someone
quality is the problem with chinese made products-you get what you pay for
the best chassis/crt i have bought in recent times were from a company called jeng shinn in taiwan

Hi Grantspain,
Thanks for the input!
I am looking for a low impedance chassis for a 11 pin sony 21'' trinitron tube. The socket/ tube pinout looks like this pic:

The chassis I have is an hantarex mtc9000 which I was hoping to use with the sony tube but the crt socket is a 10 pin.
http://www.cdlens.com/?item=20505 (http://www.cdlens.com/?item=20505)
Is there an arcade chassis that would fit the sony 11 pin tube?
If not, could an adaptation be made so I can still use the 10 pin hantarex chassis in the sony 11 pin tube?
Thanks!

i remember something wierd about trinitron tubes
pretty sure you can't find a chassis to fit
-
Sony Trinitron picture tubes are special. To the best of my knowledge, no company makes a chassis to work with these tubes.
-
Any way to adapt/convert the sony 11 pin tube socket to standard 10 pin?
-
No! Sony tubes are internally different than any other picture tube.

Grantspain,
Since I cannot use the trinitron tube I 'm inclined to use a 25'' nokia tube (yoke - V: 6 ohms / H: 2 ohms).
Can you recommend a reputable chassis supplyer that ships to Europe (1 unit) ?
-
the reading of impedence only gives me a guess on what chassis will fit that tube, what i really need is the inductance reading
BUT on the whole a standard tv tube/yoke normally accepts a bulk standard cga chassis
i have got a 25" new chassis here which is surplus but i am not sure how it will perform on your tube setup so i am reluctant to sell it unless you are u.k based
the big problem with buying 1 chassis is finding a supplier that will sell you just 1,most of my suppliers have a minimum order quantity
these are the best chassis i use,

the 28" model 228lc will probably work well with the 25" crt you have
the dual sync chassis they do is amazing but you need to run it 120vac through a iso transformer otherwise you get some ---smurfy--- wobble
they may sell you 1 chassis but if it does not work then you will get no chance to return it
there is a chap in the u.k on ebay that has brand new complete 26" crt monitor for a good price, the ebay shop is called digitalsystemdesign but he is a pain to deal with and has let me down a few times
there is also a company called videotronics in the u.k,Mo the guy that runs it is a real nice fella and he has some very good second hand crt in stock but you would need to go in person and pick one out
