Title: Rowe Ami Berkeley wall mount jukebox speaker wiring help.
Post by: gms1975 on December 18, 2010, 04:25:54 pm
Hi,
I just bought a used Rowe Berkeley wall mount jukebox and would like some advice on hooking up speakers for it.  I bought four 150 watt max 8 ohm speakers.  (The speakers test with a multimeter to be 8.5 ohms.)  I was going to hook up two per channel with both positive wires on E7 and both negative wires on E1 on each side.  I'm new to this, but I think this will give me a little above 4 ohms for each side of the amplifier.  Is this the best way to do this connection, or is there a better way?  Also, if I want to add an in-wall subwoofer later on, how would I wire that?  Any help is appreciated.  I just mounted it on the wall and am anxious to get it going.
Thanks,
Gary

That will work fine for that amp, that's how I would do it.

Hi Gary,

When to come to add that subwoofer, reduce the rest of the speakers down to say E5 or E6 and connect the subwoofer across both E7 connections.
