Title: Definables for other emu's - not available in info window? (Resolved)
Post by: st graveyard on December 18, 2010, 02:42:32 pm
Hello all,

Would it be possible to make the definables for other emulators also possible in the info window pop up in the future? This is now only possible in the MAME section. I would really like to be able to put the extras in the guiwindow. It is just a little thing I noted, nothing special.

Thanks for the fantastic front end. What a beautiful product this is.

Keep up the great work!

That would be nice.  I would love to show the boxes, labels etc. in the info window.

I will think about it but what info is there to be displayed anyway?

Where do you get this info?

I wasn't really thinking about text so much.  I was thinking about boxes and cart scans in the info window.  Just like you can scroll throught snap, marquee, flyer, control panel in the info pop up box with MAME.

Sorry Loadman, I didn't realize you could show definables in the info box.  I see now though.  Thanks

Hi Loadman,

Sorry to dig this up. What I mean is that indeed you can have the info window for other emus like you show in the screenshot, but the 'definables' don't work in the info window I believe. Currently I downloaded a lot of content from the fantastic EMUMOVIES site. I added my title , screenshot and box in the options available for other emu's (as shown in your shot (marquee, control panel ... )). That is 3 info pages. However, there is more content available, like cart scans, adds ... A solution would be to add them to the 'definables'. however, these definable are not available for the info window (in the 'image type' drop down), only available when your actual layout is using definables on screen.

Sorry to bring up such an old thread again, but I seem to be having this same problem.

I have MaLa set up with MAME and Daphne.  The info screen works as expected for MAME, but not for Daphne.  I have Daphne set up to show the Snap, the flyer, the cabinet, and the control panel images.  Under MAME, it all works fine.  Under Daphne, I can see the snap and the control panel, but I cannot see any of the definables.

If I point the control panel option to any of my definables, they show so I know the images are OK.

I have tried this with both versions 1.74 & 1.82.

Is there something I am missing, or does this just not work?

Thanks...

Same problem as sl33p3r here,

Definables not showing up in Other Emu (Shortcut .lnk files for PC games)
Snaps are displayed. Marquees are displayed but don't work for Game List Images.

Scratching my head as to what the problem might be since everything works in my Mame list.  :embarassed:
