So where else do you guys go to follow crazy people like us who build stuff and post about it online? I guess I'm interested in reading other project threads documenting things from start to finish with pics, etc.

I followed a Factory 5 forum for a while. Kit car company that enables you to build a moderately low priced 1965 Shelby Cobra (and other cars as well) using their components and an engine and some parts of your choosing. Some of these guys just do a basic build using the motor and suspension from a Fox body Mustang, others go full bore and build competition grade vehicles.

Would I like to do? Absolutely! Realistic? Not so much! :(

I spend a lot of time over here
The PopUp Portal (http://www.popupportal.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=t64lnm6cie9evb3konp9iuopl6&action=forum) for mods and repairs on my camper.
And here
The Halloween forum (http://www.halloweenforum.com/)

Cool - I will check those out. I am always on AVS Forum (especially since I'm in the planning stages of a basement remodel) and I like reading Instructables from time to time but a lot of those projects aren't that interesting to me.

Instructables is cool to get ideas for things that are cool, but serve no practical purpose :)

Hackaday (http://hackaday.com) isn't quite the same, but it's fun to check out once in a while. A lot of the projects are crazy and impractical but very cool all the same.
