Ok guys, got a problem.
We have a registered program for use with our school (to the tune of $40) that has crashed with this error:
Stop: c0000221 (bad checksum errors), then follows with gdi32.dll may be corrupt. I've been doing reading on it, but have had no success in fixing the error.
I can get it to boot into windows safe mode, I think, if I do a hard reboot. Maybe that's where I missing my mark in that I could try and reload the gdi32.dll file from CD if I can get it to start up that way.
Thanks for letting me ramble - crazy around here today.

Can get into windows safe mode if I try, but winds up booting far enough that the checksum error returns.
These are OLD computers - could it be a battery issue?

Thank you! It'd be perfect - except that they don't have the XP disc. Will try and find it online later.

I would scan those harddrives as soon as you can. I wouldn't be surprised if they're starting to fail.
