Actually you wouldnt really need an amp however I hooked up car speakers before and they did ok on the computer not too loud though. So With that said if you are like me when I am playing NFL Blitz I like it loud. If you are like me then yes I would get a small amp maybe like this... http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-2x75W-Stereo-Power-Amplifier/dp/B001P2R1RW/ref=pd_cp_e_2 (http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-2x75W-Stereo-Power-Amplifier/dp/B001P2R1RW/ref=pd_cp_e_2)   That way you have your sound covered for car speakers. Personally though I like the 2.1 Computer speakers sound really good with the subs for base. Just a thought. Good luck with the project!  :applaud:

They have lots of car speakers and amplifiers that run on 12v DC, a computer psu can power it.
