Here's some pics of my cocktail cab that I've bought.

Before I cut, drill or otherwise destroy the cab to fit the control panels I have a few Q's. Here's the specs on what I've got and what I plan to do:
1. Size of those holes of old CP are 36cm wide x 14cm deep.
2. Size of CP's I want to attach are 40cm wide, unknown depth top to bottom (design/shape/asthetics to determine this), depth from outer edge to edge of cab about 16cm (flat top surface where buttons or gentle slope down towards the player).
3. Below sketch of what installed CP's will look like from above re setout.

Does anyone have some advice re following:
1. Should I make flat top of CP deeper to allow room for some wrist resting?
2. What are some suggestions for designs of the CP boxes? Where can I find them on the net?
3. What are some suggestions for attaching the CP boxes to the rest of the cab?
I'd really appreciate a hand here guys rather than trying to invent the wheel all over again by myself. Besides, I want to do as little damage as possible to the external apearance of the cab.
;D

One thing that I noticed on mine -
(Bear in mind, I don't know how much of it will apply to your cab 'cause cab is kinda odd... :P)
Do a mock up of the mounting height of the panel to make sure you've got enough clearance underneath. (my 2 player side is 98% comfortable. I wish I had mounted it a few inches higher for more leg room.)
As far as mounting, the panels on the ends of my cab are held in place by bolts and wingnuts on the inside of the cab.
Word. And good luck with your cab... ;D
