I'm going to build a Donkey Kong bartop with a Mame-PC and MaLa as the frontend. The Pc is supposed to run old school games only (probably 4-way-games only), so processor speed or RAM shouldn't be any problem. BUT I'm not too sure if the PC I'd like to get can run MaLa without any problems. The specs are as follows:
# 1,1 GHz Intel Celeron Prozessor
# Chipset Solano 815
# 128 MB RAM
# 20 GB ATA Festplatte
# 256 KB Cache
128 MB of RAM is pretty weak, I know... does anyone have any experience with running MaLa on low-spec PCs like this? Oh and btw I only want pics to get displayed properly (screenshots & marquees), no videos, plus background music.
Cheers!

Try It. ;D
It would not take very long to fire up a basic layout with a handful of mame games
I would recommend any graphics you use be 'pre sized' to as close as the finial dimensions they will be displayed at etc....
Let us know how you go

Thanks for the reply, but I decided I'd spend 10 bucks more and get 512 MB RAM instead. I left the thread as it was on purpose because I'm still quite interested how low your PC's specs can be before it has problems running MaLa.
Btw loadman MaLa is a fantastic piece of software. I think this can't be stressed enough. Plus, making it available for free is pretty awesome of you. Cheers fella! :notworthy:
