Title: Game List from excel file
Post by: Chunce DeLeone on December 09, 2010, 02:28:17 pm
I have a list of Vert roms in an excel file and want to make an .MLG mala game list with them.  Is there anyway to copy and paste this list to avid having to pick them out one by one?

You could create one of your favorite games list.

Then, you can set configuration MALA

in the photo you can add a game pressing A KEY and delete one pressing D KEY.

Greetings!

Thats a cool function and i may put some buttons for that on my cab,  but not completely what i am looking for.  I'll throw another question out there, is the a respository with peoples personnel mlg mala game list files, where we could download already completed lists? Also would this not work becuase rom sets change or would it not matter?  I'm looking for the lazy mans way of getting lists.  one of the most important and timeconsuming things with this is sorting and finding games to play, and lately im leaning towards simpler is better, im going to make a vert fav list and post to this thread.

Another option is using the MaLa GameList Editor you can import a list in Mame32 format.

And don't forget RomLister

Just my 2 cents:

Having a repository for lists doesn't do a lot of good because our machines are all very custom.

Your list has tron in it.  I would love to play tron on my machine, but I do not have the controls for it, and therefor it is silly to include on any list I have on my machine.

That's pretty much one of the reasons romlister was created; to allow you to filter out all the games that you cannot possibly play on your machine with your particular set of controls and cabinet options.
