I was given a non-working 32" lcd tv and managed to get it working by replacing a couple caps on the power board.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but one option is building a 3/4 scale widebody pinball table.
I was experimenting with Future Pinball today and got the playfield set up on the tv, but I can't get the back glass to work the way I want.
I'd like to use a widescreen monitor mounted vertically so both the back glass and DMD are on the same monitor.
I'll add trim to make them appear as separate screens.
I can rotate my monitor using the video card, but Future Pinball still draws a horizontal box that only takes up half the screen.
It either cuts off the DMD or draws everything small enough to fit in the box. (I'll post a pic shortly if I can get a screen capture)
I want it so the back glass is the full width of the monitor (mounted vertically) with the DMD below, but I can't seem to make it happen.
Has anyone tried it this way before?
All the tables I've seen either use a 4:3 monitor and leave off the DMD or use 3 screens.
Haven't messed with VP yet, but from what I understand you can just drag the windows where you need them.

Nevermind.
I got it about as good as possible by increasing to the maximum size in FP, rotating the screen, then using the menu that pops up when you hit scroll lock to adjust the size and position of the backbox within that window. It only gave me options for very small windows if I went into the menu with the screen already rotated. The trick was to do all the settings, then rotate the screen.
Not going to go this route though. I should have seen it coming. If the monitor for the backbox isn't at least as wide as the tv, it's so undersized it looks stupid.
