I need some knowledge guys!
Here are the ones I know of, thinking of adding dual joys to my control panel but first wanted to see what the game playing rewards would be.
1 player games
Robotron
Battlezone
2 Player games
Total Carnage
Smash TV
Karate Champ
-
From MAWS:
Hyperdrive
Knightmare (prototype)
Off the Wall (Sente)
Fire Trap (US)
Karate Dou (Japan)
Taisen Karate Dou (Japan VS version)
Wacko
Plus a bunch for Doublejoy 8 way sticks.... like Assault, Crazy Climber, etc

Deluxe search lets you specify control type. Romlister may also be able to help with a list.

Karate Champ is dual 4 way joysticks. It's almost unplayable with 8 ways.
Tank games need a trigger button (or 2) and total carnage wants a button near by (preferably top fire) for bombs.
-
Some of my favs (some of these require a topfire or button close by):
Black Widow
Crazy Climber
Cloak and Dagger
Lost Tomb
Minefield
Rescue
Rescue Raider
Snake Pit
Wacko is incorrectly listed as dual joys. It used a joy and a trackball.

Crazy Climber 2
Krull

Rescue
Didn't think anyone would mention this one, but its one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. Its like Robotron with helicopters. :applaud:
I'll throw Space Dungeon on the pile. Another nearly unknown twin stick game. Hard as hell!

I completely forgot about the smart bomb button. I mostly played Smash TV and thought Total Carnage used the same controls.

They aren't that smart really....
Vindicators is a pretty fun tank game, but I think controls on that one is tricky. We played it on a hacked x-box and it was a compromise. Thankfully we had unlimited credits.

I think it's more a 'not worth more than two plays' design. Lost Tomb is a little better, but doesn't quite make it.

There's also some stinky Midway 3-player double-joystick (yes, 6 joysticks!!!) robots-flying-around-in-space game that's not worth 30 seconds of my time to track down on MAWS...

The Game is called Star Guards. It's not a horrible game, its not that great either. You pretty much float around space as a robot and shoot flying things that look like floating Boba Fett helmets, imperial probe droids, and robots...with...tongues?

When I go to play games with oddball controls I usually plug in a wired xbox 360 controller. 9/10 times it's pretty workable. Ikari and smash TV are good examples. I dunno if it's worth adding to a control panel unless you can swap them in and out - you'd have to be really into those dual joystick games.
-
FYI, Off the Wall is 2player, and uses 2 joysticks + 2 spinners.
You wont play a game like that very well with xbox controllers.
Robotron is worth it period, the rest are a bonus.
And yes, Rescue is Awesome. :)

For something off the beaten path, check out INFERNO.
