That dude's harsh on that copter. But I might just have to get one.

My wife gave me one of these for my birthday a month back.

It's a sygma 0009 Apache.

They're all over google shopping.

Anyway, it's already burned up two motors. They're cheap (about 6$ each), but what a pain.

However, when it flies, it's also super stable.

The one thing I'm not sure I care about is how you steer

Since there's no collective on these tiny copters, you essentially steer by pointing the copter in the direction you want to go, then lifting the tail (by applying power to a horizontally mounting tail rotor)

Completely NOT like flying a normal 4 channel copter.

Still, it's loads of fun.

I also got one... its fun when it works...

donno what's wrong... even fully charged, the motor does not spin fast enough to fly anymore...

anyone knows where I can get parts for this ??

new motor, new battery pack,... etc ?

I have an Air Hog mini helicopter they're a lot of fun on a rainy day.

Anyone know of a cheap, easy to fly and hard to break outdoor helicopter?

Maybe this one (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/rc/e611/?cpg=147H&link), which is like a large version of the common indoor models.  They say it's okay for outdoors in zero winds.  It's definitely more likely to ride out a random breeze than the little ones.

It's definitely cheaper than spending many hundreds on one intended for 100% outdoor use.

I got mine in the mail today. It is really cool and although I'm still adjusting to the controls I had it moving around and hovering in no time. Its funny that half the directions on the controller are Chinese and half are English.

Edit to add pics. The heli is stable, but always drifting somewhere when you take your hands off so the pics aren't great. This thing is a lot of fun for 35 bucks.
