Title: NBA Hangtime 4-player mode

I've been led to believe that you can somehow activate 4 player mode in Hangtime for MAME but I can't seem to do it. I scowered online looking for a solution but everyone is just saying that you can do it but not how to do it.

I looked through the F2 menu about 10 times but its not in there. Does anyone know about this?

its a dipswitch, should be there. I thought that the midway sports 4 player games defaulted to 4 players?

I think I had to change an admin setting.  What is it, F-10 for the admin console?

I forget how I got to the setting but it is there.

Malenko: Hangtime defaults to two player, I don't know why. Kind of baffling really.

Ragnar: The admin menu is F2 but I have looked through it many times but I haven't seen anything that resembles a 4 player toggle. Is there another menu I don't know about?

When I get home tonight I'll look again. ???

Page 16:
Dip switch bank 1, switch 8 should be OFF for 4 player mode. Manual suggests this should be the default setting, however.

This may be pointing out the obvious but you can't toggle the dip switches form the hang time menu, but rather the MAME menu..under the big obvious menu title 'Dip Switches'.

Wow I wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out.

For many of the games i've come across, the Tab menu has the majority of settings. I've been tempted to stash a test menu switch or two in the coin door, but using an ipac 4 Shift(1p) 1sw2 seems to be most effective for config menus. (1p+1sw1 for pause)

I know there's a few games that I have to go into the tab menu to change to 4p (capt. america, simpsons, and a few others come to mind).

thats why I said it was a dipswitch =D
