Title: Tree "Next/Previous Sibling" control?
Post by: Florp on November 28, 2010, 10:10:41 pm
Hi all,

Is there any way in MaLa to assign a hotkey to jump from sibling to sibling in a Tree? In other words, rather than having to navigate up to the parent node, move up/down to the previous/next node, then click to enter it, I would like to be able to use Left/Right to instantly jump between siblings.

(My apologies if this is a stupid MaLa newbie question, but in my own defense, I'm a stupid MaLa newbie...)

Also, when using Tree mode, is there any way to have MaLa start on a specific node on launch, rather than always starting at the top node?

Regards,

-Florp

I figured I should add on to a topic that was never answered instead of starting a new one...

I have the same question. After creating my tree layout, I realized that the next list and next emulator buttons are disabled... Is there anyway around this? I have my emulators on nodes on the tree (but no game lists) and wanted to be able to navigate through my game lists once I select an emulator. I don't want to have to go all the way back up the tree and back down just to change to a different game list? Is there a way to do this? The original question of next node / next parent would be great. I'm guessing its a headache to code though. I can go back to my MalaTree-less setup, but I figured I should at least pose the question first. Thanks!

no, doesn't work in tree mode. Don't know if Loadman is working on that.
