Title: tracball issue
Post by: numbnutz48 on November 28, 2010, 01:10:59 pm
Hey y'all! Haven't played my machine in awhile  :'( and when I powered it up, the cursor for the tracball is right in the middle of the screen and only moves horizontally across the picture? Any ideas how to fix this? The last time i played it, it worked perfectly???

Your vertical board most likely went. I had to replace my board on my 3" happ USB just recently for the same reason . Check your wiring first though . Try swaping connections on the boards if its not a USB  .

:banghead: I looked that part up and it doesn't match mine.

The two green boards i have on mine are marked as follows:

55-0302-00 (smaller of the two boards) HAPP website calls it a "TRACKBALL USB & PS/2 PCB SATELLITE PCB (B)"

55-0301-00 (larger of the two with more plugs on it) HAPP website calls it a "TRACKBALL USB & PS/2 MAIN PCB (A) PCB "

Which one do you suppose controls the vertical movement? It appears that when i move the tracball vertically, the wheel that rotates is the one "attached" to the larger board.
