My beloved Atkins main diet food is bacon.

"...bacon strips....bacon strips.....cover it in bacon!"
A masterpiece. Where's Twisty?
-
Would you like an order of extra fat with that bacon?
-
Bacon is glorious. Chocolate covered bacon is delectable. There is a bar by my house that serves bacon in a punch bowl during their happy hour. Its freaking awesome.

I changed my Avatar tagline back to what it used to be in celebration of this bacon thread.
A friend of mine made bacon Vodka this summer. Its something at least worth trying once in your life. Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1 large sterile mason jar
5-6 strips of cooked bacon, drained and patted dry
1 bottle of premium vodka
Add bacon to the mason jar and fill with Vodka. Let the bacon steep in the Vodka for a few days in the refrigerator. After the Vodka is infused with bacony goodness, remove the bacon, cover the jar with cheese cloth, secure it and strain the Vodka into another sterilized jar.
-
I love bacon as much as the next guy but dam mate, that sounds horrible lol
-
haha, It's really not good at all, but it was a worthwhile experience to try a bacon flavored hard liquor. Supposedly, bacon vodka is good in a bloody mary, but I never drink them so I wouldn't know.

Sounds gross, like Alaskan smoked porter. In any case....aren't you supposed to do it the other way round?
-
You know what sounds horrible? Gnocchi with goat cheese, sundried tomato pesto and corn. You know what would have made it better? BACON
-
There is not a single item of food that can not be improved by adding bacon. Fact.

Yeah, the bacon vodka was a total "try on a dare" kinda thing. The first time my friend made it, he didn't strain the vodka, and there were nasty chunks of bloated bacon floating around in it. That, combined with the bacon drippings chunking around the top, and you have the most vomit inducing beverage I have seen in a long time. It was like some ghetto version of Goldschlager that only a hobo would love. Needless to say, I didn't try any of that first batch, I prefer to stay out of the ER if at all possible. :puke
Now the second batch I did try, since he strained and filtered it, I gave it a shot. For only a few seconds, you get this nice rush of liquid bacony goodness, but then comes the inevitable burning. Surprisingly, there was not much aftertaste. He did use a nice vodka though. Overall, it was not bad, but not really good either. I can say I've had my fill of bacon vodka for a lifetime.

You might turn into Bacon...

That's the Bacon Explosion that Chad posted awhile ago. It's damn tasty!
-
Sometimes when out at breakfast, I order a side of bacon. A lot of places pre-cook it, so I have to specify....and emphasize....that I want it 'floppy'. One time it came pretty rare. Damn that was good.
-
Like precooking is going to save them soooo much time, I wont even eat at a place [or go back] because of that

Oddly, when I became vegetarian years ago, the one thing I thought I would miss but didn't, was bacon. The only meat product that blind sided me (never thought I would miss it, but really did) was jerky.
