Title: have you ever been a victim of identity theft or had bad customer service?
Post by: abispac on November 22, 2010, 05:11:20 pm
Im starting a blog, about identity theft. I used to work for some companys that managa customer service for brands like, boostmobile, blue cross and blue shield of florida, seven eleven, sun trust bank, ge money, and many more. I discovered how easy it is to steal important information like social security numbers, credit card numbers, even full information like adress, dob, and more. Recently i felt like fighting against this big companys, wich the place them in foreing countrys to pay less that what they would pay in the USA. By doing that they are risking persons identity's,ofering bad customer service and taking jobs from USA citizens. This is not a spam topic, please if you can coperate, or if you have been a victim of identity theft or bad customer serce from this company's, maybe i can help you out, by giving you a clue on how you became a victim.
Please join my blog and coment what you think about 'it. Thanks

Have had it stolen twice thanks to Wells Fargo.

Once they had a computer taken out of a facility, another time, who knows?  The first time, they offered me a discount on credit protection services.  Gee.. thanks, guys.  (I moved my student loan elsewhere)

The second time, they sent me a new debit card that was the same number as the cloned one except with the last two digits switched around.  And refused to replace it when I complained.  Thanks again, Wells Fargo.

Another time was my fault - I dropped my debit card.  Within minutes someone had run up ~$500 on it but I had it called it almost immediately, etc.

FWIW, I hope your blog has spell check.

too bad that wells fargo its not managed from  the comanys i know, but i hope this blog starts a serius fight so companys can  send their customer services jobs back in the US and with more security implemented.

Good luck to you - the only time I had fraud committed on me, Mastercard called and asked "Have you recently spent over $5000 dollars in a sporting goods store in the Southern United States?" The answer was no - they told me they were mailing a new card and that I should cut up the old one and that this was "no longer any of my business."

I'm going to be flat-out blunt here.

Unless you fix your atrocious spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc (i.e. English) I would not count on too much of a following on your blog.

I applaud your efforts, but you've absolutely got to take your time when writing, especially if you want to be taken seriously.

Twice and the first was Wells Fargo.  I had a charge for a PS3 game from an online store that I dont remember.  It didnt have a description so I was trying to figure out what I purchased.  I finally called, they told me what it was and told me to call Wells Fargo to tell them it was fraud.

The second time was with Apple.  Someone jacked up about 2500 worth of crap the day the Ipad came out.  My credit union called me on that one.

Not sure that constitutes what you're looking for though.  It may just be fraudulent charges v. true identity theft.

thats precisly one of my points, i was working for one of those companys, and i dont consider myself a good customer service rep. I am  a living proof, and i know the dirty secrets.I hate when i call for customer service and have to call over and over due to companys hiring unqualified persons like me.And also i found how easy people that works on those companys, steal important information for theyr own purposes.

And if someone wnats to help me with spelling and grammar, ill take the help. I really want this companys to take jobs back into the USA so they can hire qualyfied personel.

While it isn't popular or politically correct in the current climate, I outsource stuff overseas (not much, maybe 5% of our workload) and ALL of the people I hire can speak and write English properly, which, for what I want, is the first step in being qualified.

And I wouldn't take advice about outsourcing from someone who isn't qualified.

Just my obnoxious $.02

I got my credit card stolen once and they charged all kinds of crap on it, luckily Visa called me and canceled, i wasnt out any money at all, just a lot of inconvenience.
And to your second question:
I have had bad customer service on just about anything I have called for. Is it like federal law now that you  must talk to a robot voice on the phone?
And the worst, hands down-butt up, worst telephone customer service I have ever had was with crappy McAfee anti-virus. Long story.

And HarumaN, gotta love the nazi cat!

Bad Customer Service -AND- Identity Theft?   Why not computers -AND- dog grooming instead?

But seriously, I feel like both topics are unrelated (unless you're talking about bad customer service WHILE complaining about identity theft, in which case well, then, okay).  You should have a broader scope under which both can fall (*cough* The Consumerist (http://www.consumerist.com/) *cough*) or pick just one and focus on that.  I can't imagine someone looking for ID Theft support will want to read about how Mitzy from Sheboygan was treated rudely by the operator at QVC.

EDIT:  Yes, I do realize you are covering more than just those two topics, but the title of your blog and the post you made on 11/19 says otherwise.

And yes:  grammar, spelling, all the good stuff.   I see English is not your native tongue.  Maybe dictate for someone to punch up?

P.S.: The grassy background has got to go.   David Horowitz would never work with such a background and neither should you.  Blogger has a very decent selection of backgrounds that's no so "picnic-y".

What do you wnat me to prove? That i will find someone to help me on my english skills?
O to prove that im trying to do somenthing good?
O to prove that customers information its very easy to obtain?
If is the last , ill dare someone with a blue cross blue shield of florida account, or boostmobile account or sun trust account, to just provide me with theyr real name, with just an easy move i can get , adress, social security number, credit cards numbers and more.
The fact that people are hungry for money at those companys, make's it easy to get all that information, for  no more then 20 dlls. Try me.

Sounds to me like you're an excellent example of the problem ... how is it that moving things back from overseas solves the problem that is you ?
