Having not hooked up my aim track for a few months and setting up a new motherboard this summer, I thought I would take some time to set up my aim track today. Since I knew that there was a new version of the firmware available, I downloaded it and installed it. I'm using XP SP3.
Since performing the firmware update, my Aimtrack no longer works. I've tried with/without the USB extension cable. I've double checked to make sure the LEDs are working. I've moved the Aimtrack to another USB port on the motherboard. It sees it, installs the same updated drivers, and nothing. I get nothing.
Am I missing something? Have I somehow bricked my aim track? Is there any way to revert back to older firmware?

try going back to an older firmware version. andy added some playstation detection stuff that gave me issues.

Where do I find an older version?

i've got 1.3 i can send you tonight
also, the newest, i think it's 1.6, is supposed to fix the particular issue I was having, so if you haven't tried that one give it a shot
-
Can you send both? I will PM you my email address. Thanks!

Thanks for the email -- I got both of the versions of the firmware. Problem is, the firmware updater program keeps crashing when I try to run it. I tried on both my XP SP3 system as well as my Win7 system, so I don't think it's OS related.
This is really beginning to frustrate me. I'm beginning to wonder whether or not my aimtrack hardware has failed. Where's Andy when I need him?
I have a buddy with an aimtrack, so I'll see if his hardware works with my system, and report back.
