Title: Launching a game in Mame32 using the player 1 start button?
Post by: childsremix on November 19, 2010, 04:49:17 am
I'm currently trying to set up mame32 (.139) so that I can press the 1 player start button (JPAC to JAMMA set up) to launch the game.  Before Ive always just pressed the enter key on the keyboard to launch the game but Id want to get away from the keyboard all together.  Any ideas??

You should be able to use the shift functionality on the jpac to press enter. You hold P1 start + press another button to use it's shift function by default IIRC.

You can always program it how you like too if needs be :)

Unfortunately everytime I press the player 1 button the game another game is highlighted and not the one I selected.

And solved thanks! I ended up reprogramming the JPac like you suggested, works great now!
