Title: Auto "refresh main game list" on startup?
Post by: tkeahi on November 17, 2010, 02:21:35 pm
Hi,

I'm new to mala - I searched but couldn't find the answers to these (hopefully easy) questions:

1. Is there a way to have mala "refresh main game list" automatically when mala starts? This is in an arcade cabinet; I'd like to be able to add roms on a USB drive (hidden behind the coin door) and have them automatically detected.

2. I'm working on a layout and would like it to scroll L and R through the gamelist (instead of up and down). The layout editor only seems to be able to create an up and down list for cycling through the games. Any way to change this?

Thanks!

In view to your second question,

You could create a layout where the gamelist is on a curve so to speak (or diagonal) and then configure the keys so

left would be down and
right would be up

it wouldn't be horizontal but i reckon you could get as near to it as possible, well ish.

tkeahi,

in view to you first question, you could use autohotkey assing a botton from your control panel a key combination pressed.
