Are there any detailed plans for candy-esque cabinets available online? I'm thinking of starting a new project and would love to make a candy type cab.
I've searched the forum and found some projects of people making candy type cabs from scratch but no plans.
e.g.:

?
My plan is to make a candy styled dreamcast cabinet

Yeah, I don't think there are plans anywhere. Your best bet would be to look at a lot of candy cabs, and draw up your own plans.

"candy-esque"
There are vewlix plans floating around on google.

Thanks!
Does anyone know the cabinet/contol panel width of an Astro City? And also the control panel height from the ground?
I see the Vewlix is around 70cm (27 1/2 inches) wide and the CP is roughly 58cm from the ground. Just trying to get an idea for what is comfortable for a 2-player sit-down candy cab.

I have a Capcom Impress. I can take some measurements if you like.

That'd be great thanks! Its a nice looking cab

The control panel on my Sega Naomi is 540mm from the floor to the bottom of the CP, 640mm to the top of the CP, 720mm wide and 320mm from the front of the CP to the monitor if that helps.

Thanks, beginning to get an idea of dimensions now! :)

Many of the cabs shown here have general dimensions posted:

That site site is great cheers!
What software do most people use to draw up plans for their cabs?

Ok I started doing up the plans with GIMP and seems to be going well. Just one more question:
What is the average angle for the monitor in a candy cab? I see the Vewlix is 15 degrees

There is a forum dedicated to candies here:
http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/ (http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/)
They can probably help you out a lot.
The guys at Shoryuken.com and shmups.org also have a lot of experience in candies.
