Such a post is allowable (to my knowledge). We've got other in here that have posted before.

What are those sizes in inches, though? I'm looking for an online converter right now.

Plus materials do you have avilable to print on?

Ok found a converter... here goes...

420mmx297mm
(16.5354in X 11.6929in)

910mmXunlimited
(35.8268 Inches  X unlimited)

Those are pretty odd numbers for printing, but it doesn't really matter...

What is your pricing? What materials can you offer?

I'm assuming by your screen-name you're in the UK (and using Metric measurements)...
Would you be willing to ship to US addresses?

Conversion -> 1in = 25.4mm

The A3 has a printable area of about 16in X 11in
The A0+ is almost 36" wide

That's what I said... glory hound...  :P j/k j/k

I didn't realise you were in the UK.

I'd definitely be interested. Can you post a few ball park figures here. For example, how much would it cost to print artwork for a Hotrod sized (11" x 24") panel?

Also, do you have laminating facilities?

Thanks in advance

Well obviously they only print on paper :)

We have a maximum paper weight of 200 gsm (anything over that is classed as card(board)) either Matt, Silk, Bond, Gloss or Photo Gloss.

We do find that 120 - 160 gsm variety to give the best quality.

I shall work out a price for a package of: 2x sideart 1x control panel and 1x marquee

Shipping to USA is fine as long as you dont mind that wait in the post and/or cost of delivery

both laminating and encapsulation services are available, please tell me which one you want.

We also have a vinyl cutter! :)

I will be creating a website soon to offer this sort of stuff any suggestion?

Thanks guys!

P.S. I am in the UK  ;D

Why do you have a vinyl cutter, but nothing to print on vinyl. Is it just for cutting basic shapes in solid colors?

I'd be very interested in seeing what a package deal might cost.

Plus I know laminating, but what is encapsulation?

Plus how much would US delivery be for something like this probably be? I don't mind the wait, but the cost may be prohibitive.

Yeah the vinyl cutter is just for solid shapes and the like, you could get your mobile number cut so you could put it on your car window for instance.
Encapsulation is a plastic sheet that wraps round the paper and is heated on. (most people think this is lamination).
Lamination is a sort of ink/film/plastic that is sort of printed on it can either be gloss or matt. (a good example is a glossy magazine cover).
there is also UV varnish which is a quite similar process to the above.
I'll be at V festival over the weekend so I might be able to work out a price before monday.

Would lamination be sufficient for leaving a printed sheet exposed? (For example, would it make resilient sideart?)

Hmmmm, this is getting more and more interesting.

I have a few more questions if you don't mind.

First of all is the vinyl you use similar to the textured stuff shown in this thread:

http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=7427

i.e. can it be used for control panels? If the answer is yes then what colours does it come in?

What type of material do you use for laminating your artwork and is it tough enough to be used on a control panel without the need for a Plexiglass or Lexan covering?

Thanks in advance

The main downfall if lamination is price, it is very, very expensive for anything under 500 sheets worth.

encapsulation is the cheapest option while still not really cheap is very rigid but doesnt tend to have a clean straight look (it gets a bit of a light bubble texture if you know what i mean.)

Adhesive clear film can be bought from most post offices and staitioners so this could be an option for you too.

Vinyl comes an almost any colour you like, I will look into the textured stuff though.

Encapsulation is like elementary school teachers do to all their wall art to "kid-proof" it right? It gets all slick and shiny?

thats it!

Been looking at EMDKAY.net and they basically offer no lam/encapsulation service but use the same paper, so maybe it is sufficiant without lam/encapsulation
