Cheap easy way to get your cab connected without wires.
Snap it up!

Thanks for the heads up. I was just working on this issue myself last night trying to finalize my build. This'll be better than what I'm currently attempting to use!
-
Just ordered one for myself.... just because. ;D
Thanks for the heads up on the deal.
-
Pretty slow shipping. I ordered on the 12th and it's expected to be delivered on 20th.
But it's free shipping so it's not a big deal. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, Budget Shipping (7 to 9 business days) , which is the option you got for free was stated to begin with. Throw a weekend in there to add an extra day, so depending on what time you ordered it on Friday, it's probably only had at most four days of "shipping" so far...... :dunno
I ordered mine the 16th, I wasn't in a hurry for it anyways so we'll see when it shows up.

Well, yeah. I was just throwing something out there. :)

Heh, I hear ya.....
Like I said, I'm not in a hurry for mine....but I am damn curious how well it works for what I needed it for. (distance) I just wanted something to plug into pc's I may be building/repairing out in my new little workshop for downloading drivers and such. Didn't want to have to run a dedicated line out there just for that. So I am really curious as to how well these things will work for something like that. It's about 50 yards from the house. The little Linksys one I picked up a few years ago like this (http://www.ateck.com/viewItem.asp?idProduct=453056947) won't do it. (never has worked good, even inside the house)
So yeah, guess I am just babbling too, passing the time away. ;D

I'm getting "Sorry, this product is no longer sold at the Buy.com website" from your link now. :(
-
I just checked and got the same thing.
Must have sold out or something.
-
I've had good luck with stuff on Buy.com. My only regret was not buying the complete Miami Vice box set for $30 when it was a special this summer.
-
My USB stick just showed up today. I'll play with it after dinner and let you know how it worked out.
-
Word of advice- go to the SMC website and download the drivers for the USB stick before you install. The ones on the disk are worthless. The ones from the website work perfectly. My cab is now a part of my home network!
-
Received mine today.
And yes, drivers were a pain in the ass.
I ended having to get two sets of drivers from the SMC site and combining them since the first set was missing files.
But it worked.
Reached out to my shop, albeit weak, but it reached.
Figure if I just add an extension cable to it I can get better reception by moving it around a bit.
Worth the $10.00 I figure.

I ran a cable from the motherboard in the bottom of the cab and put the usb stick in the top of the cab. Worked perfectly for me. I too had to combine drivers, but I used the one from the disk with the ones I downloaded. I put them both together on a flash drive, and it worked perfectly. I only installed the drivers and not the SMC utility and let Windows manage the wireless. One less thing running in the background.

So you got yours before I got mine? I shouldn't have posted my comment earlier. ;)
Oh well. It's for a small project so if it's not here until Monday, it's not an issue.

Should be there any day now. ;D
(seriously, if not I'd be checking up on that order)

I expect it Monday. I'll just use the time to prep the flash drive with the proper drivers.
