Title: Mala - Error reading gamelist file
Post by: joe_heppy on November 10, 2010, 04:25:46 am
This error message constantly keeps coming up and it stops me from getting into mala so I can't play my games  :banghead: !!!! I thought I had sorted it by reinstalling the newest version of mala, but it happened again last night.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Would be hugely appreciated!

Cheers

what created the list?  was it romlister or did you make your list using some other program?

there's a known bug in romlister with mala lists that contain the game "john elway's quarterback" that can cause this issue.

how would I find out what created the list?
Should I make a new list in MalaGamelist that exclude 'jon elways quarter back'

well, i was hoping you'd remember what you were doing when you made the list. :)
there are at least 3 programs that can create mala lists.

no.  only if you created your list using ROMLISTER would this bug have an impact on you.
since you don't know how you got your list, I will assume that you didn't use romlister to make it.

I'm unable to help at this point, as I am only familiar with romlister's ability to ruin a list. ;)
