Man oh man, I'm happy I found this thing. It is in the box and it has the book, but I'd like to have a full size printed out copy of it in a folder than deal with this little tiny book.
Anyone know where I can get a good scan of a Genesis Game Genie book and the updates?

The book is actually likely woefully out dated. People still go out and discover new Game Genie codes to this day. You'd do better to go Google up a modern list than that list which is at least 15 years old.

gamegenie.com may be a good place to start...

I have the Genesis GG and yeah, the book was outdated even on the day of release. Galoob used to have a subscription service where you would get new booklets every month or so. I believe I have nearly every booklet published except one. The booklets often had new codes for new or revised games (some games would have three or so different versions) and have errata for older codes.
The pisser were those "key" codes to enable the GG. Some games would have such long codes that you ended up only have space to add whatever code you wanted. :banghead:

I read that before I posted, it isnt exactly a full printer friendly version.
Theres gotta be an old BBS TXT file out there somewhere.
but even if i had that then there is still no way for me to tell if it is up to date...

They are... sort of.
The codes look like they're the codes that were published by Galoob back in the day. So if you're looking for the complete list of codes published by Galoob, then this would be it.
However, from what I can recall about the codes I see, there isn't a single code listed that was created by anybody other than Galoob. For example, I can tell you right now, the Kid Chameleon code set is woefully incomplete. For instance, the code set reveals only 70 levels. KK sports 103 levels in a convoluted chain that I would have easily given my left nut for a map on (http://www.opusgames.com/games/kidcam/kidcam.html). KK is 1/2 the reason I ever bought the GG in the first place.
