Title: Aura force-feedback vests $20
Post by: CGRemakes on August 13, 2003, 05:16:02 pm
I'm not sure if this has ever been posted, but there is a company that is selling several thousand Aura force-feedback vests for $20 (retailed for over $150).  These can be used as a vest to experience force-feedback, but I have heard that they can be gutted and used for adding force-feedback to your seat.  It comes with the speaker and amplifier, so you don't need anything else to get it going.  The URL is:

Let me know how it works.  I'm considering ordering one as well.  I've heard good things about them, and at $20.00, you can't go wrong.

I've bought a LOT of $20 controls that I felt like I went wrong... Especially when I try to get some new controller to help 3d shooters... Every one sucked!

But these do look fun... let us know!

Ha!  A friend of mine gave me one of those things almost ten years ago. I still have the thing in the attic.  It plugs in the audio jack and is a low pass amp hooked to a voice coil strapped to your back - all the bass becomes force feedback.  It worked great with MechWarror 3 back in the day, but the thing is really noisy and distorted.  I kind of wished it had an adjustable crossover to tweak it for each game.  I may pull it down just for fun...
