Hey all, I'm in the process of planning out my control panel. Currently I have 2 8-way joysticks with 6 buttons each, but am considering adding a 4-way joystick as well. The question I have is, where is the best location for the 4 way joystick? I've seen some where it's at the top of the CP and others that had it in various other locations. From a playability stand point what is the most convenient and functional location for this? I realize that this is probably more of a personal preference then anything, but what seems to work best? Thanks

It's all a matter of comfort, asthetics, and personal preference.
-Some like it next to the P1 stick for easy access.
-Some like it centered above for the symetry & more "original" feel while playing (Alot of 4-way games only have 1 stick on the CP & it was centered on the screen)
-(above fits asthetics & preference...)
Personally, I like it Nearer the monitor and center-stage. It just feels right standing directly in front of the screen with your hand straight in front of you while you chomp up those pac-dots & chase the ghosts...

If you have room, then I would add two of them, just jam one to the left of the player one stick, and one to the left of the player two stick. You can install them with the bases nearly touching the 8-way bases. There are not a lot of two player simultaneous 4-way games, but there are a few, and also a few dualjoy 4-way games as well. The Ms. Pac reunion stick is also excellent for puzzle games, many of which are two player.
If you don't have room for two, then either center it, or stick it next to the player one stick.
