....
Not sure if anyone really cares but I need to share....
I was given the source code and everything to build MaLA a couple of years ago from SWINDUS (long story)
The environment was a German version of Delphi 5.
I quickly managed to find a English version of Delphi 5 and that made life easier. :applaud:
Problem was that it was still Delphi 5 (a pre 2000 version) so I could not use some of the new library's or code examples available .
I was stuck, as many of the librarys MaLa used I did not have the source code (only pre compiled code) for so would only run on Delphi 5.
Over the last two years (in the background) I have been doing two things:
1) Hunting and begging for source code of some of the libs
2) Replacing some libs to versions that run on Delphi 5 and Delphi 2007. Classic example is the Video and Audio Engine, they were flakey anyway.
Anyway I seem to have finally completed this mission. ;D
I have manage to build MaLa and all it's tools in Delphi 2007. Yeah for me (and MaLa)
This will make coding easier and allow me to add more 'modern' feature to MaLa ;D

Sweet! I can't wait to see whats next for MaLa!
I love MaLa, and while I might not understand the details behind all your hard work, it's excellent to hear that you have it in a format to make it an even more awesome FE.

Definitely good to hear. Getting a project into a newer IDE almost always makes it easier and more fun to work on!

Good to read that. Congratulations!!
There is a great difference in the video and audio performance since then.

Wow, didn't know this was all in Delphi. Assumed it was all straight C/C++ or something.
So is it building against native Win32, or the Delphi that runs on .NET?
-
Win32. no .net

Excellent to hear! Sounds like you've got full control now and that'll really help fix any bugs and keep this great front end moving forward! Wish I knew Delphi so I could offer to help! Thanks for all the work you do!
