Title: getting out of mame from game, makes my monitor out of sync?

Hi, I have a geforce gtx 460 and I don't think soft15khz will install, I have an edid dongle but the soft15khz is greyed out on the options when installing the modes.
Anyways the monitor works fine at 640x480 its a try synch auto switching arcade monitor. I have mame installed and set the resoultion to 640x480@60,
the problem occuers when i get out of the game, the monitor goes out of sync?
