Title: Music sorting and juke software
Post by: ccmathome on October 25, 2010, 12:00:58 am
Ok so I'll be starting a juke soon just need to sort out all my music, I have alot of singles and worried about clutter as I'll probably be using albumplayer.
What would be a good way to avoid this? I was thinking of replacing album name with artist name so all songs from that artist will show for said artist. Or does anyone know of a good touchscreen juke software for singles?

just have

my music > cds > artist > songs

any music player will then pick up the artist as the album

i use skjukebox which is in the process of an upgrade to skg juke and will be a great jukebox

this juke will pick up your songs in your artists and is customisable color wise etc by changing any font size and color you can get a great looking juke
are you using video clips? if not go for version 3 not 4 or 4.1 as it skips songs

if your using windows 7 there are ways to get i working but i went back to xp as it run better on that

Personly I dont like singles and albums mixed in a album only based software, which was one of why I created MultiFE (wich have them both separated).

You can also use a tag software to copy artists name to album name as well for avoid that issue as well.

Wincab is a excellent singles software as well Nowtro Jukebox, which is artist based rather than album based.

If you have each single (Assuming it's 1 track) in it's own folder you can set E-Touch to go straight to the play options for that track so you will not go to the track listing and see 1 track. I got the impression that you don't actually want this though as you refer to clutter from the singles,  the only way I can think of you resolving that would be to put them all in 1 folder and change the album name to say "Artist's Singles" or something simular. They will then only take up 1 album cover and when it's selected you will see all the singles in the track list, that should work for most album based jukebox software. It will also keep them with the artist.
