Yesterday at around 3PM PST, John McAllister began his quest to beat a 25 year-old "Joust" record of 107 million points. His game is being broadcast live. It is oddly compelling to watch a skilled player in action - at 22 hours of play he has 47 million points.
EDIT: URL keeps trying to embed. Not sure how to correct this.

MAME doesn't count toward the real record, only the MAME record.

I had some paint I wanted to watch dry so I missed it ::)

sleep deprived conversations are fun to listen to :laugh2:
Is there an official place to go to see mame high scores?

http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=44&gl=M (http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=44&gl=M) Twin Galaxies gives high scores for all sorts of platform. This is the link for mame.

You can tell it's not MAME...when the cliffs disappear, there isn't a pixel remaining.

couple hours left. thanks for the link... kept me entertained at work all day.
-
he's like 2million points to the goal. That a single game? when does he eat/go to restroom?????
-
he leaves for like 10 minutes at a time... racks up free guys and his wingman counts how many kills while hes gone. crazy
-
oh, makes sense.
He must have like 100 men right now, or something.
[edit] he had about 105 when he was done. Strange part is when you're done, you need to die, go to enter your initials. Killing all the extra men was somewhat long. lol.

Final score was 107,301,150 at, I believe, 53 hours.

Amazing.

See, that's why I don't have a world record. I can't play for more then 5 minutes before the kids wants the arcade for themselves.!! LOL
