Making my CP box out of 1/2" plywood. I mitred out the sides, now wondering what the best way to fasten it all together is.
Help!

I would use wood glue and then small brad nails and gun if you have it and clamp together till dry... thats the best if not small penny nails and wood glue then clamp down wait till dry. Just a little harder to nail in small nails manually.

If painting and not staining, I'd also do the finsih nail thing as already stated.
if staining, you could glue it together (make sure things are square and tight while drying) and then add L brackets afterwards. That's hwo I did it and it worked out great (see build in signature for pics)

Gonna stain, I was thinking about the glue and then L-bracket thing. Thanks!

BTW, what kind of glue?

You should be fine with Elmer's glue!

Elmers wood glue. Not the white stuff from grade school art class.
If you are really worried about the glue strength use polyurethane construction adhesive in the tube. A little more flexibility after it cures and easier to apply. It is not as messy as gorilla glue.

Since I am staining, I used elmers stainable wood glue on the mitred edges, then I used a bunch of L brackets with wood screws to make it square. Worked great! My plywood had a little bit of a bow to it and the L brackets and wood screws helped pull everything back to square. Afterwards I used stainable wood putty fo fill my edges. Now I am ready for a stain! Hopefully it takes the stain well, I am worried about the putty taking on more/less stain than the plywood, but I figure using a wood conditioner should make it all even.
Thanks everyone!
