Title: Enough power from USB cable to power happ p360 x 3 sticks?
Post by: Vebbo on October 21, 2010, 07:01:18 am
I tried the setup with 1 stick connected and that worked.

Can anyone with some experience please verify that this is OK? I have connected all tree happ p360 to one USB cable, see picture -> "Close up 5v power to p360s"

I'm going to assemble the rest of the cp tonight. Hopefully it will work  ::)

I know that the cp looks like a mess right now... see picture -> "Cp today"

I appreciate every advice or comments!

I can't find any specs on happ's site as to the amperage draw on the p360. As long as it doesn't exceed 500ma, you'll be fine. That's also assuming you are plugging into a port on the mobo or using a quality powered USB hub. Non powered hubs share that 500ma with any other devices that may be plugged in to it.

Try it out. If you have issues, then run a 2nd or 3rd USB cable to the controllers. Or mount a powered USB hub to the CP, and plug them into that.

thanks for answering nick3092. I just tried it, plugged it right into the mobo and it works
