Yep, sad little me. I finally get to a mall that has an arcade. A rather tiny one in the Bangor Mall in Bangor, Maine. Problem is that I was with some people to go clothes shopping (that is why I went in the first place), and I had not realized that there was an arcade in the mall still. Well, needless to say, not everyone in the group is as arcade friendly as me (IE they had no interest) but I made sure to get a 20 spot and head over and get some tokens. Well, good news is I got to play some games (no TMNT??? WTF!?) bad news is, we were a group and not everyone wanted to hang out in an arcade...
Damn it! ITS BEEN YEARS!!! >:(
So I had to walk away with a whole ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- tonne of tokens unplayed....

Sorry, just venting.... :<
Also, the operator of the arcade there needs to get TMNT and also do something about the lighting behind the SFR 2049 games (couldnt see where I was driving due to glare on the screen).
Oh well. Atleast I got a taste of my childhood...

you already got a group of Arcaed Friendly group, RIGHT HERE ;D
Sometimes there is aget together. (When is our turn anyways, NJ-ians ?) :P
-
Looks like you need to take those tokens back and this time with arcade friendly friends.

Damn, are all you guys on the east coast or the midwest? :hissy:

Considering how many peeps on this forum that are from Maine, maybe it would be cool to get us together in Augusta or Bangor... (You hear that Mainers! (and other norther new englanders!))
@LL Why banned? Because I have not seen an arcade in years? They are few and far between... :<
@MZ Yes, there was a memo that went around a few years back and we decided that the west coast does not deserve arcade games of any sort, nor fans of such systems... Something about west coast people being too into american idol or something....
-
I'm coming back to visit in a little while... can't wait to get some Bob Marley and a little arcading in! Yesssah

Yes, we were a gaggle of girls. Valerie did get one quick shot of me and my friend Grace playing Area 51 before she got bored and wandered over to the coffee place (If you are wondering why I am using my right hand to hold the gun but my left hand to pull the trigger it is because I had to keep switching off between left and right index finger due to fatigue)

LOL Grace was moving so fast she ended up looking like fozzie-bear in that pic hehe.
UPDATE!
I went BACK to the Bang-Her (yes RayB, every Mainer knows that joke!) earlier today with Grace (who loves arcade games) and we blew a few hours and the rest of our tokens on a few shooters and mostly on some driving games. WOOT! I still wish they had TMNT and SF2 or similar (not a SINGLE fighting game in that arcade! O.o).
@MaineEvent, where in Maine do you hail from?
-
i havnt seen a arcade in my neck of the woods in ages. well there is a nickel arcade but the most of the games are almost always broken.

When your fingers get tired of shooting, switch the grip and start pistol whipping the bad guys on the screen.

Now THAT would be a very good mod for a wii-mote! Someone gonna write the API for that? And then someone else hack area 51 for that to work!?

Buy an aimtrack kit and install the sensor in the butt of the gun, and one of the U HID-G in there as well. Use something like glovepie or autohotkey to detect a sudden deceleration as a 'trigger' action, eg stopping the butt of the gun where you want to 'fire'.
