Post by: Mikezilla on October 12, 2010, 06:47:51 pm
...Can you run hyperspin while using MAME32? Like I said, Im a noob, so, I got started with MAME32 being the easiest, but Im still configuring things, and I wanted to ask you guys if I could do this before I tried to DL and configure hyperspin.

Thanks!  :notworthy:

Hyperspin is a frontend, it can call any version of MAME.

Mame32 I believe is no more. I think newer versions are called MAMEUI, the above is still accurate though.

You should have no problems using it while trying to get HS off the ground.

Ah ok. I bought Saint's book with the CD and MAME32 was on it, but I was reading that it was considered a front as well, so I didnt know if it would clash with Hyperspin or not.

Gotcha.

Cool, thanks for the info.

It is a front end also.  Using just regular command line mame may save you a little CPU overhead.  YMMV.
