Hey everyone, thanks for all the help on my previous inquiry regarding my CP layout. Here's a related issue. I have used the "Sega Astro City Player 2" button layout (http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout/sega2_m.png (http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout/sega2_m.png)).
Scott from Mameroom has brought to my attention that the buttons are too close together, as Happ Ultimates need 1.5" of space for the nuts (http://suzohapp.com/pushbuttons/539200xx.htm (http://suzohapp.com/pushbuttons/539200xx.htm)). However, I see the normal Happ pushbuttons, of the same diameter (1.1"), use a 1.37" nut (http://suzohapp.com/pushbuttons/5891xxl.htm (http://suzohapp.com/pushbuttons/5891xxl.htm)).
So my question is, if you used a similar layout (Sega P1 or P2) what size nut did you use, and where did you get them? Do they make nuts smaller than 1.5" for the Happ buttons and are they readily available?

you could drill the holes slightly smaller and just screw the button onto the panel and not use the nut at all.
epoxy works wonders too.

i did not use a predefined layout, i made my own, however i spaced them at 1.5 inches, using happ buttons. looking at the bottom of the panel, the nuts aren't touching each other, there is a small gap between them, however it is relatively small. i'd hate to plan it so closely that they are touching, because if your holes are not drilled perfectly where they are supposed to be, there could be problems
