Hey Guys,
I just randomly bought my first jamma board - The Lost World Jurassic Park Rail Shooter (favorite arcade game ever) but had a quick question about my jamma to monitor. I've already built my Mame cab but wanted to get involved with REAL arcades. I just wanted to test everything before restoring and building a cab for the game, but wanted to use my Projector if possible. I envision a large cockpit cab with a projector above or below displaying the games. Back to the topic, I know they have these RGB to VGA adapters to convert the 15k to ~31k but just wanted to see if this was possible....
I have a Philips bSure Sv2 Projector that has the following specs:
H-Sync Range: 15.0 - 108.0kHz
V-Sync Range: 50 - 120Hz
http://www.projectorcentral.com/Philips-bSure_SV2.htm (http://www.projectorcentral.com/Philips-bSure_SV2.htm)
Does this mean I can use this to test the video?? Or am I way off? Would rather just test the board to make sure it works and everything. Another thing is I need a power supply....of course I just tossed my old computer the other day but that is another issue and another forum
thanks!
Jason

So i just noticed that Lost world Arcade is a model 3 driver and it mentions it does the following:
Screen orientation : Horizontal
Video resolution : 496 x 384 pixels
Screen refresh : 60.00 Hz
Should my projector or LCD or computer monitor be able to display this or do I still need a converter? Someone said the model 3 uses the same power but less resolution than a pc/lcd monitor

i don't know if you have tried yet, but your odd resolution (496x384) may not be compatible... usually the list of compatible resolutions for big screens and projectors starts at 640x480.... even then sometimes you cant get it to pick up the signal.
had a 42" lcd used with a PGA golf computer running 800x600 at 60hz. plug in the vga cable, screen says can't sync to signal.... even though the compatible resolutions show 800x600 60hz as compatible, it obviously wasn't. i ended up using a DVI to VGA adaptor and using the DVI out on the video card instead of the VGA. and it works... at 800x600 60hz. WTF?! :dizzy:
*throws hands up in the air and stomps off*
