Title: Time Crisis on pc version of mame versus mame osx on mac

I have both and the same rom of time crisis on both. The PC version is ultra slow, sounds like an echo crossed with someone repeating themselves and is ultimately unplayable. The mac version of mame on the other hand works great and is almost too fast. Can someone explain this? Both using same mac btw, pc version in boot camp using a 2.8ghz iMac i7 with 4gb ram.

I've noticed that all my other roms are running unplayably fast. Things like slapfight and xain'd sleena are running at least 100 times faster than they should.
