Does anyone here have something like "Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator" ?
I have an .ai file that won't open..... says "unknown format". (correct extension)
It's an older file, so who know what has happened to it.
Tried Illustrator 8, Illustrator CS3, Photoshop, blah, blah, blah.
Can't import it into a new file....."unknown format" error again.
I know diddly about using AI, I just view files with it usually.
If anyone thinks they can help, e-mail me and I can send you the file in question.

Think I got it fixed, just need to verify with the artist since I know diddly poo about using Illustrator.
I can open it now at least and it "looks" right to me.
Took a lot of fumbling my way through some text editing to remove a bunch of jibberish from the corrupted original file.
