Title: Ms Pacman Upright + Hit & Run Pinball..Too much of a project for a newb?
Post by: predator314 on October 07, 2010, 03:45:04 am
I came across these 2 machines locally.  The owner has had them in storage for over a year.  She said they originally planned to fix them up, but couldn't find anyone to even look at them without charging a bunch of money.  So now they are wanting to sell these machines.  All she says is they "don't work".  She evidently doesn't know the problem (or doesn't want to say what the problem is).  Space isn't an issue.  However, I'm a newbie to the whole restoration/maintenance of an arcade machine.  How much would you pay for these 2 machines together (15 miles from my house, I can haul them easily)?  I don't want to end up in a money pit, but I think I can get these 2 machines at a pretty good deal...just wandering what you guys thought a "good deal" would be for them.

I'm currently close to finishing my own Mame cab and thought this might be a good project for me to do next.

Here are some pics she emailed me:

The baseball game is fairly old so will be electromechanical.  All relays and stepper motors would be my guess.   The Ms Pacman is not a Ms Pacman cab.  Even looking at the player 1 and 2 start buttons are not placed on the cp graphic where they should be.   Someone has hacked an old cab and maybe there is Ms Pacman board and stuff inside but who knows?

Without looking inside the cabs it is hard to even guestimate a price.   Just seeing what is in the pictures I would not go over $200 max this is mostly for the baseball game.  I may be way off if the baseball game is more valuable then I think but it is sort of a pitch and bat not a real pinball.
