Title: Emulator Exit When Using a USB Gamepad
Post by: bobbernier on October 04, 2010, 05:08:57 pm
I'm using MALA with a hacked USB pad, 9 buttons. I can't figure out how to map a button to the exit function. When I look at the control panel the button I want to use corresponds with button 9, however using 9 as my exit is not working.

I just Plugged in my USB joypad and set Exit to button 9 and it worked fine.

It Exited MaLa as expected.

If you mean 'exit' game that needs to be set in Mame or whatever emulator you are running.

AutoHotKey can map the gamepad button to whatever keyboard key you need to press to exit.
You can then set that key to close the program in Mala hotkeys or in the emulator itself.

My trackball had hookups for a middle mouse button that weren't being used, so I mapped it to ESC.
It has worked for everything, even games I had trouble closing before.
