Hello everyone, so after few month that I've been reading here i made my own project.
Because I didnt want to spend alot of money and since i dont have a room for a big MAME cabinet in my home i decided to build a JukeBox.
and because i had in my home an old commode i decided to use it and turn it to a Jukebox.
the parts i ordered from ultimarc.com, and want to thank andy, and also ordered some things from ozstick.com.
I want to thank also the guys from the forum that helped me!
and now :pics
took out the soeakers because they didnt work :-[

So now the CP part..
-
The Copmuter:
So here and the beginning I've got Intel pentium 3 512 Mhz
but after I decase it i put the motherboared on my carpet and it destryoed it :banghead:
so i got another PC and it is Pentium 4 512 Mhz it has 80 GB but i took out from the 1st computer the HDD and it has 200 GB.
in the pics you can see the both computers but the one that on the wood is the second
I took out from the case the part of the HDD and mount it also to the wood plate
-
Now the test part... and its working :applaud:
After that I mounted all thing inside, "hacked" the power switch to an arcade button
-
Thats it.
now just need to get smaller monitor because i want to mount it inside also (if you have ideas how to do it it will be great)
and to put inside some speakers (i working on it now and will put pics when it will be done)
if you have something to say about the project I want post them here plz
-
Good job. It would be nice if the monitor could be inside. I really cant tell in these pics how you would do it.
But you can mount the monitor you have by removing the stand and using the vesa mounting holes on the back.
Just a suggestion.
-
Since its such a low piece of furniture I would probably mount in beneath where the screen stands now, so you look down at the screen.
-
+1 on mounting the monitor.
And are the speakers just those computer speakers sitting on top? Are you planning on taking the old ones out and putting those inside, or did I miss that?
I like the idea. I'd just go with an "all in one" approach, so everything was integrated...
-
Thank for replay,
the old speakers are not working so i took them out, the speakers that on top are just simple PC speakers but they are just temporarily because I gonn'a put speakers from my streo.

i havent decassed mine yet until after painting has been completed which should be the next week or two
how did you destroy it and what should i be careful of when i decase mine

looks like a cool project. i have to admit though, i was a little confused at first. Here in rural Pennsylvania, the word commode means toilet.

Yup. Which would have been a VERY interesting project.
