Supports a single joystick it looks like. Tempting but I'd just be purchasing it to play with. I need a second cabinet to work on first.

wonder how they are getting around the M$ proprietary chip?
-
Same way as the Datel or Paewang sticks I would imagine

I'm pre-ordering.

and how's that?
just curious how they get around it, and can M$ disable it with an update?

According to efnet/SRKTT they simple bought the chips directly from source, the encryption hasn't been broken afaik.

The board looks like it has the same chips on it as the Datel board. The MS encryption chip is obviously not present. AFAIK, it's a very small 8-pin chip. If it's a hack, it may be possible for MS to nuke it in a future update.
Also, just purchasing said chips "directly from the source" wouldn't save one from the wrath of MS's IP department. There's a reason why "licensed" controls are presented as such. But as long as you don't try to base a commercial product on one, and don't mind taking a chance that it stops working at some indeterminate future date, then it might be useful.
Then again, Sony just rendered pretty much all unauthorized 3rd party controllers non-functional as of update 3.50, so it'll be interesting to see if even that side of it works when / if it's released.

The encryption has been broken. The chips that MS used are specifically produced for encryption and are sold by the suppliers as hack-proof. Thats a very rash claim to make and I suspect lawsuits are flying around between that supplier and MS at the moment!

But another way around this is to require plug-in of a wired controller. Many Xbox 360 converters require this but dont mention it in the sales blurb.

Wow!
So it HAS been broke, there is no risk of these being disabled with a future update?
I would imagine a hack could be disabled.

:soapbox: Companies seem to never learn. Nothing is "hack-proof". As long as people have access to a "hack-proof" device, it can be hacked. ;D
