Hey guys..
I was just curious if someone could let me know what type of wire you used to hook up your buttons to your inferface controller? Also.. What type of crimped connectors did you use? I'm trying to build my whole order from GGG at the moment and would like to include everything in one order. Or is the wire/connectors something I'd get from radioshack?
Thanks.

Get 22 AWG wire, got 90 feet of it at Radioshack yesterday for 7 bucks. Get your disconnects from lowes/home depot. I use the .250, they will fit on the .187 connectors, but the .187 connectors won't fit on the .250.

Some people use cat5 cable wire
I used what I had at hand which was very thick gauge wire. Works fine the holes in the IPAC are large enough for the thick stuff too

I have a minipac, so IU used an old hard drive cable plus crimps... anyone going down that route better have a long hard drive cable, things are kinda short.

ME! I had a partial box of cat5e laying around. I just folded the wire onto itself a few times before crimping.

honestly, that's a good way to have neat wiring. You group the wires that need be together and pass them in the same cat5 cable. Plus, lot of us (me included) have parts of a spindle in storage...
reusing old cables is the best, IMHO.

Another nice option is VGA cables. They are plenty long and give you ~15 wires to use. Most of us have several lying around, so it's a nice free source of bundled uniquely colored cables. Even better is Parallel/printer cables, but who has those anymore?

.187 connectors for buttons, .25 connectors for lights, I use 18 guage wire.
Overkill, but it's easy to get a good crimp and it can take a lot of abuse.
It's also easy to find auto parts stores (hook-up wire), hardware stores (alarm wire) or of course, fleabay.
A $2 button wrench also makes things easier.

What section of home depot are the connectors in? I literally have no clue. lol.

Most places have .25 and don't carry .187
They also usually only sell small packs, so it may end up costing a lot to buy enough packs.
I bought a bag of 100 off fleabay fairly cheap.
Make sure you buy the correct terminals for the size wire you're getting,
or else crimping won't go as smooth.

I bought 22 Gauge Wire. What terminals exactly would i need to get? I just want what will work the easiest.

I just finished rewiring my cabinet a couple weeks ago. 22 gauge stranded wire + .187 female quick disconnects.

.187" female spade terminals for 18/22 gauge wire. They are color coded.
Should be the red ones, but make sure it says 18/22 just in case someone isn't conforming to the standard..
